Broker's Comments
This Hardy Family Pilot 20 is powered by a Mercury 40hp engine which means it will potter along at 6 to 8 knots rather than plane at 20kn plus. The engine has only had light usage, less than 100hrs. They are renowned as solid, seaworthy boats.
It has a double berth and a single starboard quarter berth in a bright and spacious saloon. There is a sea toilet and a galley. There are new vinyl seats for passengers in the cockpit.
On the exterior there are superficial scratches and scuff marks on the hull which detract from the attractive exterior. The detachable cockpit cover needs attention, a few of the studs and turnbuckles need replacing.
Generally a bit of TLC is needed to spruce up the galley, pilothouse and saloon. The old Lavac heads could be inexpensively replaced by a Porta Potti or a Jabsco sea toilet.
There is plenty of storage on these well designed small boats which can also be trailered.
