Great News! Brighton Marina Yacht Club Reopening Today!
From the club's new management:
Hi all
Apologies for the slight lag in getting info out to you this week. It's been a hectic week of fixing buildings, beer systems & boilers, buying and shifting beer and furniture, prepping food, training staff, changing light bulbs and much more.
With most of that now done, we are delighted to be able to welcome you back to the club from tomorrow, Sunday 5th of July. We're very excited and really looking forward to the future and how we can make BMYC a great place for everyone to enjoy. The club is looking great, the beer is cold and food is good to go.
We've also been getting our heads around the systems we need to have in place to operate responsibly and adhere to Government guidelines. With that in mind, Here are a few really important things that you'll need to know before your first visit, so we can keep everyone as safe as possible. All guests must be seated at a table. There is no stand up drinking (or dancing) for the moment.
You'll be shown to a table by a staff member when you arrive. Please be patient if they are with another guest as you arrive, they won't keep you waiting long.
Tables can be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Due to social distancing there may be fewer tables for the time being but we'll do everything we can to accommodate you. There will be a dedicated website and booking process very soon but for now please email us on bar@bmyc.uk .
Groups/tables are limited to 2 households inside (a support bubble counts as one household) and 6 people from different households outside on the deck. You are required to give your contact details upon booking or on arrival before service if you haven't pre-booked. Currently you can give the lead name and phone number of your group (you should keep a record of who was in your group) or you can ask all group members to leave their details. In accordance with current legislation any guest/group who refuses to leave a contact cannot be served and will be asked to leave.
We will be using a fully secure app for this information. You can log in to this on your smartphone using a QR code or entering a url. This will take you to The Watershed Track and Trace facility page. (The Watershed is the name of the new bar and restaurant operation at BMYC, you'll see more of this over the coming months).
Card payments are preferred wherever possible. As there is no standing permitted, we would prefer to take your order at your table so will endeavour to do this efficiently and safely. If all servers are busy you may order at the bar but please respect the distancing instructions, order and pick up points at all times.
Please do not move tables, they're placed with 1m+ restrictions in mind and have been carefully planned to accommodate safely as many people as possible.
Finally, please respect social distancing and personal space. Some people may be less comfortable than others about distance.
None of this means that the Yacht Club cannot be a great place to hang out, socialise, enjoy the new surroundings and some quality food & booze, brought to you at your table, without needing to queue at the bar!
We're looking forward to meeting you all. Please get in touch to book in for tomorrow.
