The last racing day for the Antigua Classic Regatta had lighter winds with intervals of squally blustery conditions and heavy down pours. With a mixture of weather conditions throughout the race made interesting results for the last day.

Skippers breifing for the single handed race was held at the Antigua Yacht Club. Basic rules include no autopilots to be used, all boats will have observers who will be situated on each boat to help in case of emergency.

At the end of 2017 we were approached by Chris Woods on behalf of the Keith Black Will Trust who wanted to donate his Colvic Countess 33 to Sail 4 Cancer. After considering whether to use her for our family sailing days it was eventually decided that the charity would get more benefit is she was sold and the funds used to give breaks to the many families on the waiting list.

Great day at Day 1 of Sovereign Harbour Safety Weekend in a slightly murky Eastbourne! Hundreds of expired flares disposed of safely, lots of money raised for RNLI, 30% of life jackets checked by RNLI found to be completely defective - the day ended slightly prematurely as someone handed in unexploded ordnance found on the beach!
