Broker's Comments

Macgregor 26 - a motor boat that sails or a sailing boat that motors - at speed? This unusual combination might not be to everyone's taste but look a bit deeper; go on, I did and my initial doubts and scepticism (or skepticism if, like the boat, you're a 'merican!) started to melt away when I slid forward the hatch to reveal a huge amount of space, light and airy, with separate heads and useable galley and a huge aft berth and cosy forepeak double. Furthermore all surface are wipe clean and easy to live with. If you want to spend maximum time having fun on the water, with or without a young family, and the minimum of time on boat maintenance (they ALL need some) then this boat is seriously worth considering. Trail it to scenic cruising grounds, launch and rig with ease (mast raising kit fitted and water ballasted when launched) couldn't make things simpler. And when the weather or family turns against sailing just fire up the 50hp motor and get home in a third of the usual time!
