What did you do before working with Boatshed?
Before joining Boatshed, I was living out a lifelong dream; sailing around the world on my own 40ft yacht! I completed a double-handed circumnavigation, which was an unforgettable adventure and took me to some of the most remote and beautiful places on the planet. Before setting sail, I worked as a secondary school teacher in the UK. Having now returned home, I'm excited to start a new chapter in the marine industry and turn my passion for sailing into a career.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
I've always loved being on and around the water, so joining a team that helps more people experience the joy of boating really appealed to me. Boatshed's professional yet personal approach to helping customers find the right boat perfectly aligns with my own values, and I'm thrilled to be part of a company that's as passionate about boating as I am.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
Definitely a sailor! I'm a qualified Yachtmaster Offshore and Dinghy instructor, and I love spending time on the water in any form, whether it's coastal cruising, passage making, racing or just a fun day of sailing.
What is your most memorable boating experience?
Without a doubt, completing my circumnavigation on my own boat. It was the ultimate adventure. From making landfall in some of the world's most remote islands to meeting incredible people within the global sailing and cruising community. It's an experience that shaped who I am as a sailor and deepened my love for the sea.
