About Mark Ford
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
I was a police officer, working predominantly as a Detective in Sussex and then London. Since retiring from the Police in 2021, I have been working with Tate Marine, a yacht rigging and repair company in Eastbourne.
I am an owner of a Bavaria 32 which I regularly sail out of Brighton. I have my day skipper, and a long time ago, I was a crew member of Newhaven RNLI.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
Boatshed has an excellent reputation around Brighton and Eastbourne marinas, especially the customer service by Tim and his team. Since working in and around boats, I have been keen to move into brokerage and the natural choice was to approach Tim about coming on board.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
Despite having some fun on motorboats in the past, sailing is my passion.
What is your most memorable boating experience?
Whether it's being out in challenging conditions, or anchoring on a hot summer evening, I just love being on my boat.
