About Luke Cartwright
I started working with Boatshed Brighton in August 2019.
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
I have been passionate about boating ever since I was 5/6 years old, being introduced by my dad's 17ft fishing boat that we would often take out of Burnham-On-Sea.
When I was 7 we moved to Eastbourne, East Sussex where my passion grew stronger and stronger! I regularly visited Littlehampton Marina where my dad and I would go on charter fishing trips. Eventually we decided to buy a fishing boat in Eastbourne Sovereign Harbour and have never looked back! The first boat we bought was a Parkstone Bay 21', a very characterful boat and from here we knew we'd caught the boating bug.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
The main reasons I decided to join Boatshed Brighton Yacht Brokers is because it is so clear that both the buyers' and sellers' happiness is at the heart of everything they do.
From the huge amount of advice and support on offer to the clear passion they have for boats it was evident that the team that run Boatshed are going to do a great job for everyone that is lucky enough to work with them whether buying or selling your boat.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
Motor boater- I I’ve had 3 boats now, the Parkstone bay 21, a Parker 660 and now have a Jeanneau Merry Fisher 815 and I absolutely love her! I even catch fish on the odd occasion!
What is your most memorable boating experience?
You will very often see me out at Eastbourne harbour, even if it’s just for a couple hours of an evening if the wind is low I’m out at sea!
