Broker's Comments

This is an interesting opportunity to acquire a go anywhere Steel hull Bruce Roberts cutter rigg Ketch.
There is no doubt that she would lend herself to many applications, from leisure sailing, live aboard, or a means to visit those far flung places ideal for a steel hull.
She does need attention , particularly the running rigging and the cooker looks as if it seen better days ,from first inspection , the fabric of the boat appears to be sound , with the current owners having sailed her round the west coast of Scotland.
I think this will appeal to the kind of person willing to spending some time on this boat, bringing it to one of the above uses.

Just made a bid, under the reserve, but I can guarantee that if I get her, I'll take care of her and bring her back to sailing standard.
I don't have a lot of cash, but she fits all my requirements, and I have a lot of skills and resourcefulness to get the job done.

I'm a retired maths teacher, and have yacht master and skipper/crew qualification and several thousands of miles of sailing experience.

Cheers

Ted Key

Hi Charles. The engine was lowered through the main hatch then dragged into position with a chain block. I sailed to various places on the continent (Denmark France, Holland) then took 2 years off work to sail round the Caribbean with my family, through Panama to Peru, then back via Panama up the East Coast of the States and home via the Azores.

hello michael r i saw your comment was quite recent, I like the scuttles. Did you go very far in the 15 years of ownership ? I quite like the fit out but I cant see how you got the engine in there !

Charles M2022-06-17 09:08:51
