Broker's Comments

The GibSea 282 was one of the most innovative boats from the late 80's. She has an amazing amount of interior space down below, which would put some 34 footer boats to shame. This boat has been owned by the same owner for 25 years, during his service in the Royal Navy he served on the Royal Yacht Britannia, ending his career as chief shipwright. The boat has been meticulously maintained and lovingly looked after, when one goes below carpet slippers are requested.
She is rewarding and easy to sail with an 18hp engine which can push her against most adverse tides and is economical to run. She also has a good set of electronics.
The advantage of the lifting keel means that she can navigate shallow creeks, dry out on sandy beaches and harbours and utilise those cheaper drying moorings.
The forward cabin has a double berth leading to the main saloon. There is a wraparound settee around the cabin table which can convert to a double berth. The galley and chart table are starboard, the heads has a shower and is to port. Behind the chart table is a large airy double berth cabin.
If you wish to book a viewing, please take your slippers as she's well worth viewing.
