Broker's Comments
Designed by Farr Yacht Design led by Bruce Farr, the Platu 25 (aka First 25) is a shrunk MUM 40, or so we're reliably informed!
An out and out racer with a deep fin keel and bulb (ballast approx 510kg hence a ballast ratio of just over 40%) she has a designed top speed of approx 11kts, in the right conditions clearly, since her 3.3hp motor is purely for marina handling and flat calms. Her accommodation is spartan in the extreme but two cushioned berths are available for the post race party goer! A braked road trailer is included which allows the boat to be moved by road, but one should not confuse this yacht with a trailer sailer - ever!
